Explore
The CTE Explore program is designed to provide hands-on learning experiences that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills through the lens of Artful Learning. By integrating the arts into both woodworking and digital technology, we encourage students to think critically, collaborate, and express themselves in meaningful ways. Our goal is to equip students with practical knowledge while fostering a love for innovation and craftsmanship.
Explore is a dynamic, two-semester course that allows students to engage in both hands-on craftsmanship and digital design. Students have the rare opportunity to build physical projects with their own hands in woodshop and create digital artwork using industry-standard software in computers. Through experiential projects, inquiry-based learning, and artistic expression, students connect their work to broader ideas and creative problem-solving. Whether they are building physical structures or designing digital art, they engage in deep learning that goes beyond traditional classroom experiences.
Students will alternate between classes. For example, if a student has Woodshop first semester, they will switch to Computers for the second semester.

In Computers, students get to design and edit their own digital work, making learning interactive and personalized. By blending hands-on craftsmanship with digital creativity, students gain a well-rounded, engaging experience that keeps them excited to learn.
The Explore program is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to develop skills they can use for a lifetime. Whether they’re building in the shop or designing on the computer, they’ll leave with valuable experience, practical knowledge, and a sense of accomplishment.
